This past weekend, on the Saturday morning following Thanksgiving, a group of local DC Goodwill fashionistas and I hit a DC Goodwill spot that I don’t venture out to often- the Herndon, VA location.

I’ve only been to this store for a Modage Style Bus Tour. My finds that day were a pair of $2 brand new wedges and $15 gray boots. It was undoubtedly a memorable trip.

This particular morning was no exception – the racks were packed with gems galore. Although the Meetup started at 9AM on a holiday weekend, the energy was bumping and carts were full. In fact, I had two!

This store is a little larger than the other DC Goodwill locations I visit. The entire back of the store is dedicated to furniture and a small rack of skirts held almost 300 items. Let’s just say I was in heaven in that particular section of the store. 🙂

Here are some snapshots of the goodies that were spotted while we were on the hunt! Many regular fashionistas came out but I was happy to see new faces in the mix from the Herndon neighborhood as well.

Even one of my housemates came out to the event! She knows I host them every month and decided to join. She LOVED this event and walked out with a cart full of excellent finds such as skirts, dresses, and furniture.

Levi's bomber moto jacket

I myself scored necessities like this practically new Levi’s bomber moto jacket. A jacket like this originally retails for hundreds of dollars but I scored it for only $30!

Colorful shorts

I also took home a few other staples for the coming season and even for next summer.

Sheer kimono bolero/jacket

I’m especially digging this sheer kimono bolero/jacket! This vintage beauty was under $5 :).

I’m also on a graphic tees kick. This brand new, with tags, Vans muscle tee was about $1! That tag says that it was originally $25. 😮

I had an amazing time at our Meetup as expected. It’s always such a pleasure to meet like-minded individuals who love style and shopping with smarts. There’s honestly nothing better than searching for treasures and connecting with new people all while contributing to a great cause and providing job opportunities in the community.
