As a self-proclaimed sneakerhead, there aren’t many sneakers that I want to add to my collection. My sneakers vary in colors, design, and textures. However, finding the simplest go-to sneakers can be hard to find.

One of the items on my thrift wish list has been a pair of gray New Balance sneakers. There was a period of time on the DC fashion scene when the urban cool kids were rocking gray New Balances.

As the rebel I am, I wasn’t interested in buying a pair when they were popular; however, I wanted a pair now. As I was casually browsing the Clinton, MD location, I found them! My own pair of New Balance 9060’s in my perfect size. I tried on the sneakers, and it was meant to be.

They have a few defects; however, small markings let me know that the person who owned them before me loved them too.

The retail price for the sneakers is $150.00, but I found them for $20.99!

I can’t wait to wear them casually with sweatpants and a T-shirt, as well as dresses and skirts.

Time to mark another wish item off my list!
