It is officially November, which means drinks such as iced matcha and chai lattes are transitioning to hot drinks like hot apple cider and tea. The warmth of the drinks feels comforting as the temperatures cool off. Discovering new methods to heat the water for hot tea has been a journey.

Years ago, I used the traditional and elementary route of boiling water in a pot on the stove. It is a foolproof method, however, waiting 10 minutes to literally watch water boil was not my idea of fun. As time went on, I discovered the electric hot water kettle, which comes in different shapes and colors. The kettle heats water faster than the traditional method; however, I am not always in the mood to bring out the large kettle for a single cup of tea.

Back in August, Finding Your Good hosted a meet-up in Manassas, VA at the newly updated Sudley Station location. The event is always a great time as you are able to shop with like minded thrifters while supporting the Goodwill cause. During this trip, I discovered a very fancy tea kettle. As a quick Google lens search, I found out that it is the Govee Smart Electric Kettle. The kettle has features such as application control, smart schedule using Bluetooth or Wi-fi connection.
The gooseneck matte color design gives a futuristic look to the kettle. I also love that you can allow your water to brew to certain temperatures for different forms of tea, including Green, Oolong, Coffee and Boil. It’s so high tech and makes me feel like I am a barista in my own kitchen. I have been loving Green Jasmine tea pearls with water that is perfectly heated to 160 degrees.

The kettle is priced listed on Amazon for $79.99, which is an investment for any person who enjoys hot drinks. But you know I did not pay that amount at Goodwill. The product was in perfect condition for an amazing price of $7.99; 90% off of the retail price!
I have found the perfect solution for a flawless cup of tea each time.
Thank you Goodwill and Happy Fall!
