As an avid thrifter, I try to enter a Goodwill without intentions. It makes for a better experience as a treasure hunt. You can also find unlikely gems in the most likely places.

While I was visiting my mother in Wilmington, Delaware, I stopped in their local Goodwill to find jeans that I forgot to pack. When I come to visit, I receive many compliments on my style, and people can’t believe that most of my wardrobe is thrifted since their thrift stores are not as fashionable as the DC area. Therefore, I don’t usually visit the stores in town. However, I was optimistic and visited. I found a few pairs to try on before I saw a familiar clothing tag sticking out.

One of my recent favorite brands for jeans is Good American. They are known to be a great brand that fits curvy bodies like mine. I bought my first pair over a year ago for under $5.00 at a local VA thrift store. I don’t experience a gap in my waist, and they get better over time.

These particular pair are the Good Legs Crop with light distress at the knee area. They were my size and fit comfortably.

The best part is the jeans retailed for $148.00 and were sold for $8.00!

This shopping experience reminds me to check out every Goodwill because you never know what you may find!
