Raise your hand if you are ready to start layering, sipping pumpkin anything, and getting extra cozy for fall! Today, I wanted to share some not-so-average ideas on how you can incorporate beautiful fall colors into your closet. I love finding inspiration through other bloggers, and I’ve collected some examples for how you can update your color palette for cooler temps. Don’t forget – visiting Goodwill is the ultimate way to refresh your wardrobe in a sensible manner!

1. Bold Blazer – Your blazer rotation does NOT have to be boring. While having staples like black, grey, and navy are great – keep an eye out for bolder patterns and deeper jewel tones to spice up your jacket game. This look from Memorandum is the perfect fall casual Friday look. The olive blazer screams fall – especially layered over a perfect neutral sweater or blouse. I will definitely recreate this look ASAP!

2. Warm Toned Accessories – Remember that post I shared last week about beaded baubles? Well, think of how chic a bold oxblood or burnt orange statement earring would look with dark denim and a neutral black or ivory top. Cristina from The Brunette Nomad nails this fall look with her fun tassel earrings paired with plaid. You could also opt for warm toned (burgundy, mustard or olive) scarves to jazz up your outfits. Most of the accessories at Goodwill are less than $5.00 – so if you don’t have any of these items, don’t fret!

3. Statement Bag – I am a creature of habit when it comes to carrying the same bag for years (yes years!) on end. To mix up my fall style, I am now on the hunt for an autumn-toned bag. Adding fall colors to your accessory arsenal will make transitioning your wardrobe effortless. You can wear your favorite staple pieces and always be in season with a bold bag. I am loving this look that Jessica of My Style Vita put together. This plum Kate Spade cross-body bag is perfect for fall. If you have followed along here at the DCGF, you know that our Meetup group is notorious for finding Kate Spade at Goodwill – so you better believe I will have my eye out this season!

There you have it, dear readers – a few ways to keep your fall outfits looking fresh without breaking the bank. What is your favorite fall color to wear? I think it’s pretty obvious that I am #teamoxblood!
