My parents, specifically my father, introduced me to thrifting as a little girl, which has become a passion and lifestyle.
As the years rolled by, I would mostly thrift with my parents and by myself during college. As a loner, hanging out by myself never bothered me, but having like-minded individuals to thrift with is a form of self-care for me.
Let’s be honest, everyone is not a thrifter, and that is ok. So being able to connect with women who also enjoy the hunt made all the difference for me. It is also cool to shop with people who know your style and closet.
I have even connected with other women in Goodwill that have similar styles to shop with while browsing the store. We even act as each other’s mirror for fashion tips and opinions.
I encourage you to attach yourself to like-minded women that can enhance your shopping experience.
