As I’m putting together my resolution lists for the new year, I assembled a compilation of multiple predicted trends that I’m excited to experiment with and find on the racks of DC Goodwill stores.
Each year, I always put together some fashion-related resolutions, so I thought I’d keep up the tradition and continue my fashion adventures in 2018!

1.) All Things Lavender
In 2017, Millennial Pink was THE color. It’s a neutral light pink that almost resembles a warm beige. This year, as PopSugar fashion predicted, lavender is going to be a big fashion color on the runways and in look-books this new year.
I’m excited to jump on this band wagon, and add a new color to my wardrobe since my closet consists of neon and black. I can’t wait to mix it up by adding a neutral fun purple especially through tops, jackets, and skirts similar to this model’s look.

2.) Disco!

Readers, you might have heard me mention this before, but I have a strong love for all things disco and funk! The upbeat sounds of the 70’s and 80’s fuel my mornings and give me energy as I get through my work days. So I was especially excited to see that Glamour predicted disco fashion is going to make a comeback in 2018.
I have already scored some disco 70’s vintage gems at Goodwill in 2017 and I’m excited to rock them full force this year. I also have my eyes peeled for some pieces like the ones in this collage – metallic and sequin (is everything!) and is what I’ll be looking for at our monthly Meetups!

3.) Punk, too!

W Magazine has predicted that punk will also be making appearances in fashion lines during 2018. This is good news for me because punk is my other favorite genre of music! Punk aesthetics and ethics are always cutting edge, spicing up outfits on the traditional DC streets.
This year I’m going to continue to shop for moto jackets and band tees at Goodwill stores and I’ve already found some great ones in December that I can’t wait to use for my signature Goodwill outfits in the new year!

Readers, what 2018 trends are you excited to experiment with using Goodwill finds?
