Yes, it’s June – the first month of Summer, Iyyar and Sivvan of 5784, Pride Month! Month of the sixth birthday of my Westminster Flabby fat liberation project, Give Out Day, Shavuot, Juneteenth, Fathers Day, the Summer/Estival Solstice / MidSummer, the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and my 48th birthday!
And as you probably know, this year, there’s more pride and prejudice than ever. There’s a reason many of my fellow queer and trans people also call this Wrath Month. Please do what you can to educate, advocate, and celebrate.
