A few days ago, I was looking up 2015 trends to get ideas for the blog and I came across an article by Elle with some great new looks to try….and some trends that were dreadful. Absolutely awful.
One of them is an emerging new type of footwear that reminds me of your favorite Stars Wars character’s feet. Chewbacca! This new trend is basically wearing super furry shoes. Boots, heels….all types of footwear….all furry. It started on the high fashion runway and now it’s making its way onto the every day streets.

Not only does this trend make it look like you have animal feet, but it might make it look like you don’t have feet period. Just a block of weird fur as a foot, like the foot in the above image on the far left.. To top it off, I’m imagining pebbles and crud getting caught in the fur of these shoes. In that instance, your shoes would resemble a dirty beard!
While these might be very warm and comfortable, they’re not meant for the streets. Rather, I’d wear them as slippers for sure. These would be the coolest slippers on earth, actually. Talk about snoozing in style!

Are these shoes above guinea pigs? How would one walk around in these without tripping or the fur getting caught in something?

Oh my gosh, can you imagine wearing these to work? If I wore these on my morning commute on the metro I’d get weird looks and probably into a lot of sticky situations. Running down an escalator, these would sure get caught in a step.

The shoes above might the best versions of a furry shoe that I’ve seen. The pair in the middle resembles an actual shoe, so that’s a plus.
What do you think of the open-toed heel on the far left? I like the structure of it, but the actual fur looks like big pipe cleaners or spider legs. It’s just not my thing!
Lastly, the shoe on the far right….enough said. The color, the cut and the type of fur is a failure of a combination. That shoe actually looks like it’s been in a pile of dirty ice and some gray hair dye.

What do you think of this emerging trend fashionistas? If you see a furry shoe at Goodwill, would you buy it?
