Recently, I was asked why I love thrifting and the answer can be complex, but also very simple. It is the thrill of finding great and unique items that may be impossible to find in stores while supporting a great cause with Goodwill.

A few weeks ago while browsing the South Dakota Ave location, some leather was peeking out from the pants section. One of my favorite materials to rock is leather because it’s classy yet edgy. I tried to keep my composure, but became giddy to see a pair of new with tags Eloquii faux leather pants in my size! Bursting with excitement, I rushed to the register to pay.

The thrift gods were in my favor because I recently have been stalking the same pants on Poshmark but did not want to pay the asking price. So when I found them at Goodwill, it just felt right. I used to think that I would have to be the first person inside the door when the store opened for the best items, however, if it is meant to be, your item will be waiting for you just like these pants. They were listed on Poshmark for $60 and on Eloquii’s website for $100~, however, I paid $6 if you can believe it.

These pants are now a staple in my closet and can be dressed up with a bodysuit and heels or dressed down with a graphic t-shirt and sneakers.
