The best #MyGoodwillFinds are the ones that are new with tags (NWT). So when I saw this skirt at Goodwill, my heart jumped a bit. I was beyond excited!

Alas, the size was too big for me… so now I’m sharing it with you!

Today’s #MyGoodwillFind is a size medium and textured Zara mini skirt. It is composed of little fun woven details that will contrast nicely against any basic blouse.

It’s a warm creamish white color and hits above the knee. As you can see, at full retail this beauty was about $30! Today, you’re getting it for a fraction of the price.

In all honesty fashionistas, when putting together my outfit collage for this skirt I had to Google some inspiration. I don’t have too many skirts of this cut in my closet. I typically prefer to wear bottoms that are high waisted. They flatter my petite figure a bit more than other styles. However, I’m putting this lower-waisted, straight-cut, style into the mix because the outfit inspiration I found was trendy and on point.

Spring Candy Color Combo

As I conducted research I was delighted to see off-the-should tops are coming back into style. This 50’s/60’s Sandra Dee influenced fashion has always been a favorite of mine for its timeless, sassy, and vintage vibe.

This skirt would look superb with a brightly colored, off-the-should number that hits a bit below the top of the skirt. This billowing, flowy top will add a needed curvy addition to the straight, tighter-fitting bottom. Thinking about color, any saturated, Skittles-like color will work… it’s spring, baby!

If you’re not feeling this style of a top, any loud n’ funky color will do in most any flowy style. My second style preference would be a high-necked, sleeveless shirt to keep breezy, yet covered, in the warmer weather. Although my recommendation is sleeveless, a neutral or patterned floral blazer would also turn this outfit into one that will look snazzy in the workplace.

I didn’t feature any shoes in my collage, but a neutral wedge or sandal will always be a safe choice. You could also rock tie-up, pointy flats. Those are so in right now! And they should be. They flatter the foot and the laces make an ordinary flat a tad more spunky.

Finally, if we’re talking jewelry, a pair of statement earrings in a fun shape or bright color will add one more level of visual complexity to your ensemble. Dangles, studs… any style will do. Whatever you feel most confident in readers!

How would you style this textured skirt, fashionistas? Would you go for a retro-inspired, brightly colored ensemble?
