February felicitations, my fellow gifted thrifters and thrifty gifters!  Third and last month of Winter, Sh’vat and Adar of 5786, Black History and Jewish Disability Month!  Month of Tu BiShvat (Jewish tree holiday), Imbolc and Saint Brigid’s Day, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, Presidents Day, Lunar New Year (of the Fire Horse), Ramadan, Mardi Gras / Fat/Shrove/Pancake Tuesday, and Ash Wednesday!

As you may know by now, I LOVE my Goodwill (right here in Gaithersburg)!  I like to say it’s a Greatwill.  I can even walk to it from my house – but I usually have to Lyft back, because I have too many great finds to schlep on foot (in my Goodwill reusable bags, of course).  This time, I took home:

  • A dress with apples on it – especially good for Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year)
  • A hoodie with seahorses
  • A tee in my favorite color (purple)
  • Shorts with ice cream cones, yum
  • A skort – those are such a great invention
  • A skirt that includes my favorite and birth flower (roses)
  • Notebooks in my favorite color
  • A crossbody zippered pouch that looks like a mermaid tail
  • A kiddush cup!!!
  • A trinket tray with a seahorse
  • A cicada wall pocket that could also be a mezuzah
  • Candle holders / tart warmers that look like driftwood in sand with shells
  • Gifts for my family and friends

Here are some of the other mermaids I met that day (I was pretty sad that the dress didn’t fit me):

There was also a seashore-themed tote bag, wall art, and tchotchkes.

Also, another dress I was sad didn’t fit.  I love iris.  I have some of my late mother’s in my garden.

I hope you had love in your life this month, readers.  And I hope you’ll meet me back here next month, in March.  I’m not sure how I want to welcome Spring with you, but I have a few ideas.
