Gray is one of my all-time favorite neutral colors to pair with most types of items in the spring. It’s not as harsh as black, it’s not as bright as white, yet still has a little bit of edge to it.
That’s why I’m in love with today’s #MyGoodwillFind! It’s a silky and comfortable gray designer dress Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent with spaghetti straps. It has a high empire waist and pleats down with pockets in a size small. It will be sure to turn heads this season!
A dress like this is perfect for the season because it’s great for layering. The style is a spaghetti strap, which is flattering but also great for wearing under cardigans and jackets. The length of this dress hits just above the knee, making it a little flirtatious and fun!

The sheen and shine of this summery dress is great for a warm evening out or on a weekend. Let’s see how you can play with this neutral canvas.

Because it is still spring and the weather and vibes are bright and fun – I’d keep this ensemble on the more fun flirty side, as opposed to edgy and mod.
First off, any type of jacket or outerwear is a must-have. A light trench, a unique patterned blazer, a cardigan….anything will work. As long as it’s not anything too heavy, like wool overcoat. Anything that’s comfy and playful will work perfectly.
Then in terms of shoes, I’m thinking this avenue will be the place to play with mini pops of color. Same with handbags. Blues, yellows, cranberries….anything that’s not too over the top, yet still eye catching. A black or nude shoe will pair well because gray matches virtually everything!
To top it off, light and bright baubles will do just the trick. Because the neck of the dress is lower, a chunky necklace might make your skin itch, so I’d stray away from that. However, fun studs or dangly earrings can be a venue to experiment.
How would you rock today’s My Goodwill Find, fashionistas? What do you like to pair with gray?
So pretty! I like your suggestion of yellow open toe sandals with a floral jacket like the ones pictured.
I think an amber beaded necklace would look great, and swap out a floral jacket for a white cropped jacket. Keep the yellow sandals or swap out for pewter.
V-necklines are very flattering for pendants; a delicate gold floral pendant, for example.
With a solid color dress, you can have fun with floral printed heels.
I think edgy and mod would be great with faux snakeskin or leopard print pumps.
Ooo… peacock print heels would be fab. too.
Awesome! Sounds like you have a lot of great ideas!
