The Grammys were full of successes in the music space (Lady Gaga’s Bowie tribute and The Weeknd’s winnings) but also a lot of great fashion moments carried by some of the scene’s most popular artists.
While I usually throw some shade at fashion moments at these kinds of shows, but this year I actually liked a lot of the looks. Here my favorite looks:
Taylor Swift
This Versace color blocking look rocked by the beloved Taylor Swift is actually a home run in my book. The colors are bright and fun, and the cut of this two-piece really flatter her body.
I don’t think I would ever be confident enough to wear this type of ensemble though. It’s a bit too revealing for my taste, especially with the open skirt and bottoms showing.
Still, I’d give this look a B+, if I had to!
Nicole Trunfio
This next look worn by Nicole Trunfio has me head over heels because her jumpsuit looks like a vintage sequin times 10. Every time I find a vintage sequin at Goodwill, I always snatch it up immediately. So when I saw this look, I was smitten.
I would LOVE to own a sequin jumpsuit to potentially wear at a gala or fashion events. But I do think it can only be worn once – it’s too memorable.
I will say though that this plunge neck makes me nervous. Again, it’s a bit too revealing for my taste.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is such a sweetheart! Her facial expression accompanying this electric red dress is adorable!
Anyway, back to the dress. I’m in love with this incredibly bright red saturated floor length dresses that Grande is so gracefully and confidently sporting on the red carpet.
For a petite and tiny woman of her stature, this beauty effectively elongates her body making her appear taller than she really is.
Finally, I’m really digging the fact that her clutch is subtle, and allows the dress to remain the star of the look.
Nazanin Mandy
Nazanin Mandy also wore a two piece look just like Taylor Swift and I love the spin on this one.
You know I’m always a sucker for all black, making this an instant hit in my book.
The bustier top accentuates her lady curves, while the skirt makes the bottom half of her body look long and sophisticated.
The most interesting part of this look, however, is the red pop in her dangling earrings. I’m not sure I would have chosen this accessory but it’s definitely a conversation piece – I mean, I’m talking about it!
Fashionistas, of all the looks above, which one is your favorite?
