To kick off the start of autumn, I headed to the Alexandria Goodwill on Richmond Highway for our monthly September Meetup, I honestly could not think of a better way to kick off my favorite season. The sun was shining and I was more than ready to fill up a cart of fun finds! I think a lot of Meetup attendees felt this same sense of excitement because when the Meetup began, I couldn’t help feel the goodwill with over 45 smiling faces ready to score some one-of-a-kind gems. As usual, this Meetup was filled with fun, good eats, and notable name brands.
I spotted countless designer names, new with tags, such as Alice & Olivia and Rebecca Taylor.
Other items by retailers such as Talbots, and even well-known department store brands like Enzo Angiolini also graced the racks. This new with tags lace dress from Talbot’s (originally $179) was only $8.99 at Goodwill!
Some ladies even found Burberry shirts for pennies on the dollar! This blouse alone would run you at least $200 at Nordstrom!
Seriously though, there were bags on bags to be found at the Alexandria store. We even spotted some Kate Spade too!
As always, my cart was brimming with vintage dresses and fall jackets.
Although it’s going to be cooler out, I couldn’t help but take home this bright green floral vintage Malia dress for $5. I CANNOT WAIT to rock this next summer with a pair of wedges and gold jewelry.
Marlene, a good friend from the Meetups showed the group how easy it is to find unique home decor at this location. For under $10, she picked up this unique wall hanging for her home.
As always, Meetup attendees left with carts full of treasures and name brand finds. Literally, every single attendee left with at least one big bag of items. It’s such a pleasure to meet like-minded individuals who love fashion and know how to shop smart. There’s nothing better than shopping for a great cause that provides job opportunities in my community.
