I’m over here channeling my inner Jackie O for today’s My Goodwill Find feature. Two things I have a love affair for in the fashion world: J. Crew and the classics. Put those two together and you’ve got yourself a piece you cannot go on without in the form of today’s find. This frock features clean lines and a modest cut, making it a versatile piece that puts class into your closet!
Made by J. Crew, this dress would’ve retailed for upwards of $60.00 during its original sale. Lucky for you, I snagged it from a local Goodwill store so I could pass it on. J. Crew is known for their classic designs in the fashion community. As a frequent wearer of their clothes (via Goodwill!) I can tell you that they are quite well made, too. This dress has a zipper back with hook and eye clasp on the top. It makes for a nice, structured fit! The dress is a modest, sleeveless cut that features wide piping around the neckline, waistline and arm holes. If you caught my earlier trend posts this year, you know the 90’s high neck styles are definitely back in. That makes today’s find right on trend. The dress is a deep navy with crisp white trimmings. It has potential for wear during all seasons due to its classic roots. The hemline falls right about knee-length so from work to happy hour, it will be perfectly appropriate for all your affairs!
In terms of style, oh the places you could with this piece! First, a polished bun, string of pearls and pair of sunnies will have you feeling oh-so-Jackie O! This dress can absolutely stand on its own for spring and summer time wear when paired with a nude sandal and a few accessories. As for cooler days, image this silhouette with a structured white or gray blazer and layering pashmina. You could even go bold here with a printed cardigan or shoe to balance out the solidity. Your options are truly endless!
Give me a shout in the comments if you are channeling your inner-Jackie with a glimpse at this piece!
I’d love to know how you would style it!
