This season, I’m on the hunt for one item so if you see it, let me know. What is that item you may ask? A black and white striped boat-neck top!
So far I haven’t been able to find one in my size, but I know I’ll spot it at Goodwill this spring!
The reason why I’ve been so into this top is because it gives off French vibes and will match almost anything!
Nothing more screams France like a boat-neck striped top and in a country known for fashion! What’s better than kicking off spring with something a bit Parisian?
Stripes can be worn with a lot of pieces like a skirt, pants, shorts….the list goes on! It also matches post colors and patterns as well. Like I always say, stripes are almost like a solid because they’re so common. It’s my favorite pattern to mix other patterns with.
Once I get my hands on a top like this, I want to wear it with a fun skater skirt or skinny black pants and oxfords. And on top of what I already have in mind, I want to try some of these blogger’s looks, too!
I just love how Maureen of The Northeast Girl put together this fun yet simple and chic look with a few closet staples that every girl should have: skinny denim, a boat-neck striped top and pink shoes!
Sometimes it’s nice to keep it classic which Maureen does successfully in her fun spring outfit. What I’m obsessing over most is that this look could have been very plain – but the pop of pink shoes really make this ensemble shine! I guess I need to keep my eye out for another item at Goodwill too…; )
Here Something Good shows us that pattern mixing can be done with stripes, especially as shown by these powerful playful leopard print pumps. Like I always say shoes and accessories are a great way to amp up your outfit and make it sparkle especially when it’s a pop of color or sassy print.
Because I’m petite, I would opt for a slightly shorter skirt to elongate my legs, but Something Good’s skirt length choice is still classy and definitely work-appropriate.
How would you rock a black and white striped boat-neck top, fashionistas?
