Last week while visiting family in Delaware, my mom and I grabbed some lunch on a random Wednesday. At the end of lunch, she suggested going to a Goodwill location in Avondale, PA. I must admit that I was skeptical because I am used to the lovely DC regional Goodwill locations. As we entered the store, I was surprised to see the location had a retail store as well as an outlet store next to each other. If you are unfamiliar with a Goodwill outlet store, the items are sold by the pound rather than per item.

We decided to go into the retail store first and browse. Unlike DC regional stores, each item is priced individually. They also have the Color of the Week sale, which gives 50% off with a membership for each day except Tuesday. However, on Tuesdays, the sale color is $2.00 per item!

As we browsed through the store, I found great items and deals throughout the store. My mother and I found dresses, blouses, sweaters, and even shoes. I was overly excited to find a plus-size section in the store, which is not always found in Goodwill stores. We filled our cart in around an hour and ran to the checkout. My mother had a membership, so I grabbed some great items for half off!

After we left the retail store, we peeked in the outlet store. There are types of items from clothing to books to comforters. We browsed briefly and decided to leave. However, I will be back to visit both the retail and outlet stores!

P.S. I got this cute vintage suit was less than $5.00!
