This Saturday, all of us DC Goodwill Fashionistas hit the racks of Goodwill of Greater Washington’s newest Goodwill locations, the Clinton, MD store!
The grand opening about a month ago was a smashing success with hundreds of patrons and designer finds, so I wanted this location to be our next monthly stop! And wow, was it as fun and eventful as the opening. Fashionistas found carts full of name brand finds bright and early that morning. There were also many new faces at this event, making it even more exciting.
The store’s doors opened just for us ladies at 8 AM – an hour before everyone else got to shop. AND, everything was 50%!
Check out this incredible long vintage maxi dress that Kris picked up for around $5. It’s from the 60’s, and the cut is unlike any I have ever seen. It’s like a work of art! Plus, how cute is her outfit?!
Lina, cute as always, is dressed to shop and found some pretty fabulous things! I’m so glad we met!
I couldn’t help but snap a quick pick of me in my full Goodwill outfit, trying on some heels in the dressing room. I took these shoes home with me – they were under $7!
I’m so glad I met Pharice at these morning Meetups. She has such great style and flavor. Had to snap a quick selfie of the two of us shopping!
And don’t you love her smile?! She’s so positive and fun to shop with. Look at these killer shoes she picked up! At every event, she takes the best footwear home with her. These were under $10.
Here’s a label designer Givenchy label that I found on a umbrella! This gem was about $2. Can you believe it?!
I met this fabulous and stylish blogger at our morning Meetup. Not only was she dressed beautifully but her cart was a reflection of her stellar sense of style. I’m in love with this morning shopping look.
And her colorful basket! I have hearts in my eyes.
As a small-footed fashionista, I always find it difficult to find shoes in my size but at this Meetup, I hit the jackpot! Not one but I purchased two pairs of designer shoes, both each originally retailing for at least $100 a pair.
These gold foil J Crew heels will be my new favorite dressy fall shoe, hands down. The close-toed, small heel, and warm exterior combined make this pair fall party ready. I can’t wait to rock the on the dance floor!
Next up, Kris helped me find these high end designer Stuart Weitzman mini open toed glitter heels. At full retail price, these might’ve been at least $200. How do you think I should wear these this fall? Despite the open toe, I think they have their place being showcased in several types of looks.
Overall, at the end of the Meetup, I can honestly say that everyone seemed happy and DEFINITELY walked out with multiple treasures in hand. I had an amazing time at our Meetup and it’s always such a pleasure to meet like-minded individuals who love style and shopping with smarts. There’s honestly nothing better than shopping and meeting new people all while contributing to a great cause and providing job opportunities in the community. It is unparalleled.
Come to our next Meetup if you couldn’t make it to this one! I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. The next one is Saturday, October 28th at the Rockville spot. You can sign-up for our Meetup group here! <3
