Fashionistas, I’m particularly excited about today’s #MyGoodwillFind because it’s by one of my all time favorite designer brands: the great Diane von Furstenberg.

For decades DVF has been known for her graphic playful prints, flattering form fitting dresses, and her overall timeless sense of style. Although her creations have evolved through the decades, her eye for color and general smart design sensibilities have been a tactic she’s incorporated into her creations for years.

Today’s My Goodwill Find is no exception and truly exemplifies DVF’s designs and cuts. In a size 8 this tunic printed with a red, cream and blue wave-like artistic design will capture they eye of others. It features quarter length sleeves and hits the upper thigh. The fabric of this gems feels like silk, and is fairly stretchy, making it a comfortable staple to wear through the fall.

At the original retail price, a gem like this might cost upwards of $300, but today, it’s a true steal!

Because this tunic emits a slight vintage vibe, I’d embrace the retro feel by way of statement bold jewelry in the form of gold dangly earrings and bangles. Anything with a 60’s or 70’s aura, basically. And you can easily find gems like this at Goodwill, too. Some of my best vintage gold jewelry has come out of the Goodwill jewelry case.

I wouldn’t wear a big statement necklace with this blouse, however, because of the v-neck cut of the collar. This cut is already a vocal point of the shirt, and additional accessories might be too crowded.

Fall Vintage Prep

For bottoms, you could wear a skirt, but I’m especially feeling leggings and skinnies or all colors and prints.

For a more casual Friday look, some slick skinny jeans will do the trick and looking slimming under the longer blouse. If you’re feeling a bit daring, a prints or colored pant would be experimental but could easily work, with the right shade and texture. For example, a dark red or bright yellow would go full force in embracing color blocking. It might look a bit bold, but with subtle shoes and jewelry…it could work!

And although Labor Day has passed, I think you can wear white pants well into the 50 degree weather. That said, some slim white slacks or jeans will bring an ounce of  achy light hearted prep to your ensemble.

How would you style this silky designer DVF tunic, fashionistas? Is there anything you’d wear that I’m not mentioning?
