Today’s My Goodwill Find, dear readers, is a gorgeous silk strapless dress by designer Charlie Jade.

For those who haven’t heard of this brand, Charlie Jade is a newer brand known for their sense of playfulness, creativity and quality. Most of their pieces are patterned and are made of high quality materials. Because it’s high quality, you can find Charlie Jade items at places like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. Their dress originally retail for an average, $150-$170.

This dress is a large leopard print silk beauty, cut in a very unique way. As you can see in the pictures, the upper part of the dress includes some ruching, intersecting cloth panels, a waist band, and a zipper — it’s an out-of-the-ordinary take on a classic strapless. I also love how the leopard print is small, making the print a bit more abstract and like dots or circles. I wish this gem would fit me!

I would not wear this dress to the office because it’s a little too playful and is too short, depending on your height.

Instead, I’d rock this on an evening out with the ladies, or a partner at a nice restaurant or dancing. I can imagine that when dancing, the fabric will glide in the air, giving you that perfect groovin’ look.

Because this dress is gray, a neutral color, I’d add some pretty pops of color to spice up a look and it’s finally fall, I think it’s time to whip out that trench and take it for spin.

I’m envisioning a colored trench, like red, to add another element to the look. With that pop of red, I’d rock nude heels, gold gems, and a bag to either match the dress, or the shoes.

If you don’t have a colorful trench in your closet, a black one will work just fine. As long as you have fun with your shoes! Black, pink, blue, red…..all classic colors that will make a statement, nonetheless.

Earrings are another way to add some spunk to your ensemble. How about adding pink or blue studs or dangly earrings? If that’s a bit too bold for you, a nice pearl or opalescent gem will also go a long long way.

If wearing smaller earrings, my rule of thumb is that you can wear a bigger necklace. That way, you won’t look too over the top with sparkle. As you know, dear readers, I love me a nice bib-style necklace, and that style will most certainly work with this dress. But, if that type of necklace gets a bit too itchy on your skin, a smaller one or chest-length gem will also add another focal point into your late night look.

Most importantly of all, if it’s a cold fall evening, a pair of tights will not look awkward with this dress. In fact, a patterned pair (patterned mixing!) would look stunning! It is a bit bold, so I understand if there’s hesitation! Regardless, solid or patterned, tights are calling your name!

How would  you style a look with this dress for a date night? Is a trench the only jacket you could wear?
