Fall is my favorite time of year because I love Fall fashion, including layering, denim, and Fall hues such as orange, green, and mustard yellow. However, rather than shopping at retail stores, I always go to Goodwill to shop for the upcoming season. You never know what you will find.
Last year, I fractured my ankle and needed to switch from wearing five-inch heels to sneakers and flats. Even though I love flats, it can be hard to find ones that are comfortable and fashionable. Therefore, browsing places such as Goodwill makes it easy to find a variety of flats and mules that work for each season.

Green has become one of my go-to colors during the Summer. I have always loved olive green, but other hues, such as kelly green, seafoam green, and hunter green, have popped up in my wardrobe more and more. Green looks good on different skin tones.

I found the cutest pair of flat green mules at the New York Ave location in Washington, DC. They are a bright Kelly green with fringe. They will look good with Fall colors; however, I paired them with bright printed pairs and a black and white striped shirt to go into the office. They were a complete steal for $4.99!
Instead of starting at retail stores for new shoes for the Fall, consider checking out Goodwill nonprofit retail locations. You never know what you may find!
