The pandemic has allowed me to rediscover the simple fun things in life due to not constantly being on the run. I recently took up jogging as a form of exercise and enjoying the outdoors. Even though, I enjoy it, I’ve gotten bored and wanted to try something new!
As a girl, I enjoyed skating, especially rollerblading, and thought it would be cool to add as a form of cardio.
I remember decorating my helmet and strapping on knees and elbows pads to race around the neighborhood. It was great fun and exercise. Fast forward to the summer days, and I wanted to relive those days.
After a few trips to Goodwill, I finally found the perfect pair at the Centreville, VA location and were a steal at $7.00. A few weeks later, I also found a brand new helmet at the Annandale, VA location for $3.00.
While visiting family this past weekend, I gathered enough courage to get on my blades and roll out! To my surprise, rollerblading is harder than I remembered. I was only able to go to the stop sign and back but I made it without falling, but I looked cute in the process.
Take some time to rediscover some of your old school favorites and find them at a fraction of the price at Goodwill!
