Today’s My Goodwill Find is tailored for the professional fashionista. I don’t know about you, dear readers, but there is something about a well fitting dress that just makes me feel like girl on fire. Calvin Klein has gotten me through some big interviews, tough meetings and certainly a number of rocky presentations. Calvin, you really intimately understand how to dress a woman’s body! It’s not just the shape that draws me to Calvin Klein pieces over and over again; it’s the quality. Some of my first work purchases were Goodwill Calvin Klein pieces and let’s just say I wasn’t always great about following the wash instructions. Luckily, I was working with some seriously high quality goods so they’re still standing up after five years of hard wear! Can’t be that, now can you?
This piece is a woman’s size two and made by Calvin Klein. Well-structured is an understatement with this dress. With its modest fit and modern hardware, it makes for the perfect contemporary professional outfit. The neck is a modest v style with a faux wrap appearance. The waist is highlighted with a one inch band that features a gunmetal closure. There is a raw zipper hardware accent down the skirt of this piece giving it just enough flair to keep it from being plain. The sleeves are a gentle cap style which makes this the perfect piece for even the strictest of dress codes in the office.
In terms of style, you’ve got plenty of options due to the subdued nature of this color and cut. You can go for the simple classics or you can jazz this dress up with bold accents. For playing classic chic, a string of pearls, black blazer and solid heel will be an effortlessly chic touch.
