Here’s an easy DIY project that is both timeless and universal.  Transform a thrift store clock into a truly one-of-a-kind timepiece that will have you joyfully counting the hours and minutes.  This project features the same clock style with four different results to inspire your out-of-the-block (or out-of-the-clock!) ideas.

Take any run-of-the-mill piece of furniture and give it a creative, colorful makeover using bright colored paints and big brush strokes. A predictable piece can be upcycled into an eye-catching one with simple steps and lots of fun.  

Raise your pulse by upcycling a blank white dresser into one covered with colorful hearts. Inspired by an outdoor mural at Washington, DC’s Union Market (and painted by Mr. Brainwash, a Los Angeles-based artist who created it for International Women’s Day in 2015), here’s a way to bring that art inside.  

Get your front door ready for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday with heart-shaped wreaths/decorations.  Use repurposed items picked up from Goodwill; you are keeping these items out of a landfill, so you’ll be showing Mother Earth some love too!
