What’s better than actual lace, fashionistas? Clothing that is printed with it!

Lace is one of my all-time favorite textures and fabrics – it hearkens back to previous decades, has a sophisticated vibe, and emanates mystery fused with femininity.

Today’s #MyGoodwillFind is featured today for this very reason; I’m just so in love with lace and I wanted everyone to love it too.

This size small printed black and white and lace thick-fabric J Crew short sleeve is the perfect addition to your summer office wardrobe.  While worn, it takes on a more structured loose form, which doesn’t constrain the body whatsoever.

At J Crew, a shirt like this originally retails for at least $60. Today, you’re getting it for a fraction of the price!

When I first spotted this short sleeved top, I instantly thought it would pair nicely with pastel colored slacks or structured shorts of any color. Since the colors of the J Crew top are on the neutral side, any color will match the top, particularly blues,  yellows and pinks. I’ve actually seen J Crew colored slacks and cigarette pants on the racks of Goodwill, so you can have a whole outfit by this more expensive brand for under $20!

With the pants, I think a pair of trendy lace-up pointed flats will add a feminine touch to this look. I have a pair of black Steve Madden lace-ups that I swear by  – they’re comfortable and adds visual complexity to the bottom of any look that I wear. With a cuffed pant, these shoes always attract positive attention.

Today’s J Crew lace printed shirt has a high neck, which means it’s the perfect style to wear with a big chunky gold or colorful statement necklace. Even though I’m recommending wearing colorful pants with this shirt, you might think a pop of color is enough. It is okay to tie in more bright colors with a necklace. The color-neutral-color sequence keeps the eyes curious, without being overwhelmed.

How would you dress up or dress down this J Crew My Goodwill Find, fashionistas?
