I wish this #MyGoodwillFind fit me, fashionistas! Tibi is one of my favorite dress brands of all time! Luckily, since I can’t take it home, you’ll have the chance to do so!

Today’s gem is a size 6 (small/medium), cotton polyester blend, classic designer Tibi shift dress ornamented with a metallic black and gold exterior.  The fabric of this dress is especially unique. The patterns on the top and bottom of the dress are not only shiny, but unique spins on two classic and clashing patterns: leopard and polka dots. A designer like this might originally cost $300+ at Bloomingdale’s or Nordstrom. This particular style was sold at Anthropologie during a recent season so we know it’s on trend!

I know it’s looking to the far future but this dress might be perfect to glam up at your work holiday party. These parties usually approach very quickly, so why not think about what you’ll wear ahead of time? I know I’m already planning out of my outfit the best I can. At the very least I know my goal is to find a vintage maxi dress at Goodwill since this one doesn’t fit.

Looking Ahead to the Holidays

At my holiday party, I’d wear this with pattern or sheer black tights (which you can find at Goodwill for under a buck for a brand new pair!) along with showstopper black, blue, or pink comfortable platforms (you gotta make sure your feet are comfy if dancing is involved at your party!).

Since this dress is already a shiny metallic I wouldn’t go too crazy with bling and accessories. I wouldn’t want to be blindingly sparkly.

At the very least I’d be comfortable with sporting a pair of baubly dangle earrings to complement the high-neck of this pattern-mixed piece. However, if dangles aren’t your style, a bib necklace would add dimension to the upper portion of your look; playing off the shallow curve of the classic shift neck of the dress. Then, in terms of earrings, I’d play it safe with simple studs.

Would you consider rocking this to your December holiday party, fashionistas? If so, how would you style it?
