Fashionistas, this past weekend, I took a mini vacation trip to Boston to visit my brother. Guess what one of the first things I did there was? Visit their Goodwill!
One morning, I decided to venture into Cambridge to check out some local stores and check out their very own Goodwill store located right near Harvard.
Checking out a Goodwill store was actually one thing I really wanted to do on my trip, so I’m very happy that I had the chance to cross one thing off my list.
Upon walking in the store, I was very surprised by its size. When I first saw the storefront, I was under the impression that this location was a mini Goodwill, but boy was I incorrect!
The inside of the store was actually quite deep, filled with a variety of clothing and housewares. There was little to no furniture though.
I only perused the clothing section, and the selection more than exceeded by expectations. Despite the fact that the store was crowded, I did spot some designer and name brands, some of which I took home.
For starters, I found some Athleta fitness mini skirts hiding within the shorts racks, all in my size! I took a purple one home to wear to the gym.
My all-time favorite find was this black almost brand new jacket, ornamented with bell sleeves and big black buttons by Marc by Marc Jacobs. If it had not been a medium, I would have easily brought it home with me to wear in the fall.
It showed no signs of wear and the inner hot pink lining was stain-free. Fashionistas, a jacket like this originally retails for $200+!
While I looked around, I was happy to find trendy mini dresses by name brands like La Rok in handsome general contemporary statements pieces.
This dress was also a tad too big on me, but for only $7, I purchased it! 🙂
For all my preppy fashionistas, I thought you’d appreciate the fact that I discovered this NEW WITH TAGS Vineyard Vines button-up that was originally $80. I didn’t buy it, but hope another fashionista did! It was quite a classic gem.
After an hour in the store, I headed back to Somerville, MA and spotted this well-known alley of street art and murals. It was the cherry on top of my amazing Goodwill visit!
Fashionistas, next time you’re in Massachusetts, visit this Goodwill and any other ones! It will not let you down. 🙂
