I don’t worry too much about being perfect in my painting or my lettering. I’m never perfect! So why bother stressing about it? I like the laid-back boho vibe of the sign. It fits my style and the eclectic look I’m trying to create in my home.

A bulletin board is a great way to display photos and other mementos. But it doesn’t have to be boring! With a little paint, fabric, and ribbon, I customized a bulletin board from Goodwill into a fun, colorful memory board. You can too!

I tallied up my purchases and I spent about $9 at Goodwill for four useful and unique containers. Where else can you organize your entire life for under $10?

I love getting a good deal on Christmas decorations (even if I have to wait a year to put them up!) But I also love the sustainability of thrifting items like this. Somebody else previously enjoyed these wreaths. Maybe they got new ones. Maybe they moved. For whatever reason, they didn’t want or need the wreaths anymore. They could have thrown them away, but instead of taking up space in a landfill, the wreaths are hanging on my doors now.

I found this little mirror for $2.99 at the Fairfax, VA Goodwill store. It was a little bit plain and a little bit scraped up. But I knew that with a little bit of paint, I could transform it into the perfect thing for my mom’s home.
