I usually have great success finding clothing and accessory items at Goodwill retail locations. However, the home decor section also has a generous amount of items to choose from.

I have been curating items to make my living space feel more comfortable. Last year, I purchased a sofa with a chaise lounge. It’s so comfy; however, it lacked light for evening TV sessions.

One of my good friends has amazing home decor skills, and I noticed she has a lamp with a hanging shade in a corner of her house. It gave me the inspiration and I put it on my Goodwill wish list. While browsing at the DC New York Ave location, the perfect lamp was sitting among the lamps in the home section. I tested the lamp to ensure it works and dug it to the checkout line.

The lamp is a beautiful brushed silver with a cream shade. It fits perfectly in the corner of my living room and hangs so I can watch TV and crochet at my leisure. The price for the lamp was less than $20, which is an amazing price to a great piece of furniture.

I was also able to get the lamp in my truck and even posed for a picture as I took it home. Check out the home section for your home decor essentials!
