=A year ago, I made a pledge to buy 90% of my clothing from thrift/secondhand spaces. I wanted to make an impact in my wardrobe, something that is such a big part of my identity. One of my spouse’s pandemic projects has been creating a miniature museum in a room of our house. This includes a nautical collection, and the centerpiece is a group of local lighthouse figurines — some of them thrifted from Shop Goodwill.

I will continue to say it….you can discover and thrift anything at Goodwill, even eyeglasses! As I have gotten older, my eyesight has gotten worse, and finding affordable frames can be difficult and expensive.
